About Cheyenne P. Shepherd

Cheyenne and Chad Shepherd

With over a decade’s experience practicing law at all stages of litigation from trial to appeals, I am here and ready to serve your legal needs.

In 2000, I graduated with honors from the University of Iowa School of Law.  I moved to Florida and worked for a small law office which handled primarily worker’s compensation and personal injury cases.

From 2001 to 2007, I worked as an Assistant State Attorney prosecuting criminal cases in the Fourth Judicial Circuit of Florida.  I handled everything from traffic offenses to murders.  In 2004 I became the lead prosecutor of the Special Assault Unit (Sex Crimes) in Clay County, Florida.

I was also a member of the nationally recognized Juvenile Crime Unit.  My time as a prosecutor taught me the ins and outs of criminal prosecutions and jury trials.  Now that I am defending clients against these same criminal prosecutions, my knowledge is invaluable.

Put simply, it is much easier to play defense when you understand the offense.

In 2007, I accepted a job with the law firm of Epstein and Robbins.  Epstein and Robbins is the premier traffic and DUI (Drunk Driving) defense firm in North Florida. Working for Epstein and Robbins, I discovered that my professional passion is assisting and protecting those who have a legal need.   At Epstein and Robbins I learned to never quit on a case.  My willingness to fight is evidenced by the numerous cases I litigated which resulted in new precedent (favorable to my clients) in Florida law.[1]

The same is true at Shepherd Law LLC.  We will fight for you and never quit on you or your case.

Not only has my professional experience prepared me to assist you, but my life experience has prepared me as well.  I was a Division I scholarship athlete at Iowa State University.  Should you choose to hire me, this aggressive, competitive mentality is what I will bring to your representation.  I moved to Indiana to marry my husband Chad Shepherd.

Chad and I live in the Kokomo/Russiaville area with our blended family. I decided to open Shepherd Law LLC because I believe there is a real need in this area for legal representation dedicated to the needs of the client.

Shepherd Law is designed to be about you, the client…we truly are HERE FOR YOU.
